STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
-----------------------------------------------

Refer to the boardmod.bmp file for the following steps.

1) Power down the controller and place it upside down, with the connectors facing towards you and the LED's facing away from you. All parts to be added will be done on the bottom of the PC board.

2) Install 5 each 100K resistors as shown in the graphic, to Pins 5, 7, 9, 22 and 23. The other end of the resistors are connected together as shown.

3) Install a .1 uf capacitor from Pin 13 to the common junction of the 100K resistors as shown.

4) Using a small piece of wire, connect the common junction of the 5 resistors and the .1 capacitor, to Pin 3 of U5 (the TL064 op amp "below" the MT8806) as shown.

5) Doublecheck your work and make sure you connected everything to the correct pins and that no shorts exist.

Turn the board right side up and refer to the boardmod2.bmp file for the following steps:

1) Unsolder and remove the blue PLAY trimpot from the board. clear the PC board holes of any solder.

2) Holding the trimpot with the leads facing you, carefully bend the righthand lead of the trimpot, so it now faces up. Do this carefully to avoid breaking the lead.

3) Solder the POSITIVE side of the 1 uf (or 2.2 uf) capacitor to the lead facing up

4) Bend the NEGATIVE lead of the capacitor down, being careful not to short it to the lead from the trimpot.

5) Carefully reinsert the assembly back into the 3 holes in the PC board. You may need to bend the capacitor leads and move the body slightly in order to fit everything back in place.

6) Turn the board over and solder the 3 connections. Cut off any excess lead(s).

7) Doublecheck your work, making sure there are no shorts.

You are now done with the mods. Power up the controller and enjoy clickfree operations!
